Join Pro Sports Shooter Rafael Suanes and learn hands-on how to capture the excitement of college sports in this one-on-one opportunity.

Shoot Spectacular Moments
Learn how to capture those active and restive moments at any sport. Whether it is a fast-paced action-packed sporting event or your child’s little league game, learn the skills and techniques necessary for capturing fantastic shots.

Master Sports Photography
Learn the right tools and the best ways to use them; the right lens, camera settings, and exposure.
Become a pro at using light and backgrounds in an active setting. Improve your skills and reaction time to get the best shots at the right time.

Engage in Hands-on Learning
With a one-on-one approach in the heat of the moment with an instructor by your side, you’ll learn the art of timing, anticipating the shots, how to react, what the best angles are, and the right use of lighting.

1 game: $145
2 games: $270
3 games: $375
– Attending more than one session can help reinforce what was covered in the initial session and further hone your skills for capturing the fast action of the game.
– It also gives you the opportunity to learn how to capture different types of sports.

Recommended gear: A telephoto lens with focal range up to of 200mm is good. Longer lenses such as a 300mm-600mm would also work well (depending on the sport). A wide lens of 18 or 24mm is good for full field or team shots.
Consider renting lenses, we recommend Aperturent in DC. Use CPC10 for 10% off your purchase.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for people to attend games EXCEPT for basketball games. Students must be at least 18 years old to attend a basketball game.

Class Limit: 1 per game

George Mason or Georgetown Universities

  • A refund or a credit towards another class (less a $20 processing fee) can be given if cancellation notice is given more than 5 business days from the scheduled class.
  • If there is no cancellation notice, or it is given 5 business days or less, no refund or credit will be given.
  • Please check the name and date of the class carefully. Requests to reschedule a class will incur a $20 processing fee provided notice is given more than 5 business days prior to the class. If request to reschedule is given less than business 5 days prior to the class, no refund or credit will be given.
  • If Capital Photography Center cancels or postpones a class due to weather or low enrollment, you can choose a full refund or a credit towards a future class.
